Dear Sospes Customers,
Last week we deployed an update to the Sospes mobile app that upgraded the existing framework used on both Android and iOS devices. This change impacted every component on the Sospes mobile app, making controls more consistent and giving us more flexibility when it comes to adding new features.
Unfortunately, when the update was deployed, there was a significant issue with two key components: primarily with photos/camera capabilities, specifically on iOS devices (iPad/iPhone). These issues caused disruption to users attempting to attach images to forms and some users attempting to complete incident reports. We do not take these types of disruptions lightly and want to assure you that this has been a top priority to get resolved in a timely manner.
Update as of Monday, August 10, 2026:
- The Sospes app has been updated, and all outstanding issues relating to photos causing app crashes, incident report crashes, and other serious issues have been resolved.
- It is very important that you have any mobile app users, especially those on iOS (Apple) devices, update their Sospes app to version 2.8.53. Most devices should auto-update, but if auto-updates are disabled, users will need to find Sospes in the App Store and press “Update.” This will resolve all significant usability issues.
We are aware there are some remaining minor issues that we are continuing to work on and expect to have resolved within the next two weeks, including:
- Dark mode
- Various UI/layout adjustments
- Some pages have unintuitive scroll functions
- Other quality of life improvements
On behalf of myself and the entire Sospes team, I want to offer my deepest apologies for the disruption, stress, and frustration caused. If you have any questions or ongoing issues, please let us know immediately.
Sincerely,
Jonathan Monnette
Vice President of Customer Success
