2025.1 Release Notes - Introducing the Task Calendar, Generic Tasks, and the 24-hour Report Summary

This releases introduces new functionality that allows the assignment of generic tasks by any user in Sospes, the ability to view tasks on the task calendar, and the new 24-hour report summary!

All Sospes Mobile Apps will Need to be Updated

With this update all mobile users will be required to updated their Sospes mobile app to the latest version 2.7.159 (Android & iOS) during their next session. Typically with a Sospes update, we allow users to have the two most recent versions of the mobile app however this release includes some new security features that require all users to be up to date simultaneously.

While most devices will seamlessly transition and auto update, if a user has automatic updates disabled they will be prompted to update to the latest version the next time they open the app while connected to WiFi/Data Service.

For Companies Using Mobile Device Management Systems
If your organization's mobile devices are managed by your IT team and updates are restricted, they may need to publish the update out to the managed devices.

Introducing Generic Tasks - Tasks not associated to forms, reports or credentials

Any Sospes user can now create and assign a Generic Task from the tasks page on both the web and mobile applications. Generic tasks function similarly to inspection fail tasks or corrective actions but do not need to originate from a form or report. These are perfect for reminders to complete inspections, ISO audits or other activities you need reminders for. Generic tasks can be assigned directly from the tasks page by any user (on desktop and on the mobile app).

View upcoming tasks due dates on the new Task Calendar

Introducing the new Calendar view now accessible on all Sospes users' My Safety page. The calendar will show gives users a new way to view their tasks in relation to their due dates. This also includes any tasks assigned from forms and credentials. From the Calendar page users can also click the down arrow button to download meeting that will add the task due date to any external calendar application (Outlook, Google Calendar, iCal).

Scheduled daily summary email of all reports submitted company-wide with the new 24-hour report summary

Introducing the new 24-hour summary report! Sospes admin users can now request to have the 24-hour report summary turned on for their specific company, where a summary of all reports (incidents, close calls, and observations) submitted within the last 24 hours company-wide will be sent to a pre-designated list of individuals.

Other Enhancements:

  • Supervisors can now close or reopen closed reports in the supervisor portal.
  • Multiple locations can now be selected on the location drop-down filter in the supervisor portal.
  • My Charts - Week timeframe has been updated to Sunday - Saturday.
  • Numerous performance and quality of life updates.
