2025.3 Release Notes - Major enhancements to Credentials, the Supervisor Portal, and Events

This release introduces enhancements to the credential module, supervisor portal, and events.

New Version for the Mobile App

Mobile application users will be prompted to update Sospes the next time they open the app, as long as they are connected to the internet. Users must be on the newest version to continue using Sospes on their mobile devices.

Credential Admins can now assign one-off credentials to individual users

In situations where a single employee needs to be assigned a one-off credential, users with the Credential Admin role can now assign and credential an employee on an individual user's credential profile under the Credential Employees page.

Please note: This feature is not intended to replace assigning credentials through User Groups, but to assign one-offs to a single user as needed. Additionally, please allow time for the system to refresh before seeing the credential appear on the user's profile after saving.

Other Credentials Enhancements:

There are several enhancements being introduced in this release to simplify the process when renewing a user's credential. These changes include:

  • Grouping of active and renewal credentials - When a credential is due to expire, the system will group the active and renewal credential so the new date can be entered on the yellow renewal credential. The expired credential will still archive to keep the historical data for every employee.
  • Color changes to expiring soon credentials - Expiring credentials that will not be renewed will remain green until archived by the system. Only credentials that renew will turn yellow during their "expiring soon" period, and red once the expired date passes.
  • Multiple credential employees tool - This tool will now default the list of credentials to active or not yet certified, helping prevent accidental renewal of credentials that are expired and about to be archived by the system.

Users can now view who closed/opened a report

Users with supervisor portal access can now view when and who closed or re-opened a report in the supervisor portal under the notes and attachments section of each individual report.

Other Supervisor Portal Enhancements:

  • Users with the Incident Editor role can now edit corrective actions on reports.
  • Additional file types are now accepted as attachments and the accepted file size has increased.

When a user with the Event Creator role creates an event, any event connected to a specific form will now link to the form directly from the events page. Additionally, any user assigned to an event will now be able to access any related forms directly from the tasks page and any task notification emails.


Other Enhancements

  • The task page will now default to sorting by due date.
  • Forms on mobile will now default to all sections expanded when opened.
  • Users can now edit the start date of events.
  • Time zone offset will be included on printed pages.
  • Numerous quality of life updates and bug fixes.
