All Sospes Mobile Apps will Need to be Updated within Seven Days of Release
With this update all mobile users will be required to update their Sospes mobile app to the latest version 2.7.221 (Android & iOS) during their next session. Typically with a Sospes update, we allow users to have the two most recent versions of the mobile app however this release introduces new functionality to forms it require all users to be up to date.
While most devices will seamlessly transition and auto update, if a user has automatic updates disabled they will be prompted to update to the latest version the next time they open the app while connected to WiFi/Data Service.
For Companies Using Mobile Device Management Systems
If your organization's mobile devices are managed by your IT team and updates are restricted, they may need to publish the update out to the managed devices.

- 7.221 (Current, available starting September 29, 2025)
- 7.195 (Previous, available until October 6, 2025)
Incident Editor Users can change an Observation’s Classification

If an observation’s classification or type needs to be changed after it has been submitted, users with the Incident Editor role can now edit a submitted observation's type when editing the observation.
Examples of this would be changing an At-Risk Behavior to a Substandard Condition, an Positive Behavior to a Suggestion, or any other combination.
Reminder: The ability to access a submitted Ethical/Social Concern observation requires the HR role and therefore if an Incident Editor does not also have the HR role, they will not be able to see any observations classified as such. Additionally, if they change an observation to an Ethical/Social Concern they will not be able to access it submitting the change.
Drop Down List Question Type added to Forms

The new Drop Down List question type has been added to Forms. Similar to the multiple Select Section question type, this allows Form Admins to add available options for the user to select when filling out the form. However, unlike the Multiple Select Section question type, the Drop Down List only allows the user to select a single answer. This is perfect for when you want to provide the user options, but they can only have one answer. For more information on creating forms you check out Building a Form in Sospes.
Asset List Question Type added to Forms

The new Asset List question type lets you add a section within a form for users to select one or more assets they would like to attach to the form when filling it out. This dropdown can be added to Facility Forms or Asset Forms. The Asset List is searchable list that includes all company assets. When using this question type, it is recommended that users use the search function which they can use to search by tracking ID, manufacturer or Asset Category. To edit assets and asset categories please see Assets & Asset Categories
Active Credentials Requiring Renewal Toggle
A toggle has been added to the Credential Overview Page to filter only active credentials that are still assigned to the users that will be required to renew once they expire. The credentials that are filtered out would be where the user was assigned the credential either directly, or by being a member a user group that is assigned the credential, then removed from the assignment or user group after having completed the credential.
For example, an employee is assigned to a “First Responders” user group which is associated with a “First Aid” 12-month credential. The employee completes the training and then 6 months later changes job titles and is removed from the “First Responders” user group. The active “First Aid” credential would then remain on their profile until it expires. If you enabled the “Show Active Credentials Requiring Renewal” filter it would omit this user from the credentials counts which allows you see only trainings that will require retraining/renewal.
